- Green Belt covering much of the borough, where extensions must remain proportionate to the original dwelling
- Surrey Hills National Landscape (formerly the AONB), where design expects local materials such as Bargate stone, Surrey brick, and clay tiles
- Over 1,000 listed buildings, including Guildford Castle keep
We check which of these apply to your property before we design anything, since a scheme that works on an urban plot outside a conservation area can need a completely different approach on a Green Belt or National Landscape site.
