Two Layers of Approval on St George's Hill
If your property sits on the St George’s Hill estate, planning permission from Elmbridge Borough Council is only half the process. The St George’s Hill Residents’ Association operates its own set of design guidelines, covering everything from how a house sits on its plot to tree protection and construction traffic management, and its consent effectively takes priority over the council’s.
We recommend informal discussions with the Residents’ Association before finalising a design, and we factor this second approval process into the timeline and documentation for any St George’s Hill project.

Away from the private estates, much of central Weybridge falls within the Town Centre or Monument Green conservation areas, which include the Grade II* listed Church of St James and a number of other listed buildings.
